The incident comes just days after a knifeman went on a rampage in Feltham, west London, stabbing three people in two attacks just minutes apart.
Initial reports indicate that the wounds sustained by two of the victims of these attacks were considered life-threatening.
Scotland Yard later said all three people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
As it took place on the day of a recent election, the attack is not believed to be terrorism-related or aimed at voting day activities.
