Due to the coronavirus and social distancing, barbershops are closing around the world.
While there are bigger issues at the moment than the state of your hair, there's nothing wrong with trying to feel better during these uncertain times.
So here are four things you can do about your hair during the coronavirus quarantine.
What to do with your hair – coronavirus lockdown
1) Buzz It Off
Soccer players around the world are grappling with hair loss. We've seen it on everyone from Paul Pogba to Anthony Martial to Eden Hazard, and even hair icon David Beckham has made the leap again.
Brushing your hair down can be effective for people who don't want to worry about their hair for the next few weeks or months, and for people who just want to be able to get up and go with real ease. Since there is no hair, there is less washing and it is more hygienic!
Of course, this is the easiest way to make a suitable haircut at home, requiring almost no skills. If you're really confident, you can go for a fade or leave the top a little longer to add an element of style to your cut, but most people choose to use a clipper guard to keep the whole look off. Just make them the same length.
Be sure not to make it too short at first, start with a longer length and gradually reduce it. A good place to start is around the #5 guard (16mm). This is the length used in the video below.
We've been having some great weather in the UK, so if you're looking to get a summer cut early, it shouldn't be too difficult.
2) Let it grow
Maybe it's finally time to grow your hair out without falling into an awkward phase and returning to your usual haircut. Keeping your hair long allows your barber to do his best work. So if you're looking for a new haircut, coming out of this will give your barber even more hair to “makeover.”
For most people, hair doesn't grow in a stylish way, so you're probably not going to love your hair as much for a month or two, but if you're on lockdown, there's no better way to do it. It's time to have some patience. If you can't grow now, you probably won't ever grow.
By the way, if you live in London, we will be running a makeover series once things are safe again. How to participate Sign up through the normal route hereWe will contact you with details via return email.

3) Have someone at home cut it.
Our classic scissor cut video (video below) gained a lot of attention during this period, with hundreds of comments and messages from you. That's why we know firsthand that many people are taking the plunge and learning how to do men's cuts. Hair at home.
Try to choose something relatively simple. Fading or layering of the skin is probably out of the question. Keep it simple and short on the back and sides, or keep it neat and tidy.
This requires a lot of trust in your quarantine partner, but if you're brave enough, why not give it a try? Start by having your child watch a few videos at home to gain some confidence.
We recently went live on our YouTube channel to help someone cut their hair at home. And our resident barber, Dan Gregory, has some amazing and easy tips for cutting hair at home.
4) Tidy up the edges
Perhaps the easiest and least damaging way to cut your hair is to trim it around your neck and ears.
We've all grown some pesky hair on the back of our necks or a few extra millimeters above our ears, but you'd be surprised how much of a difference just getting rid of it can make.
So if you're looking for a super easy method to do at home, just get rid of hair that isn't supposed to be there. This means removing the hair that hangs over the ears and slowly moves further down the neck.
