Ipswich Crown Court heard that Hannan DeMille, who entered the UK illegally, was detained by police at 8pm on February 13 for a drug investigation and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Unit. , was driving a gray Audi A3.

Five bags of cocaine were found in his jacket pocket during a strip search, and a further 22 bags of cocaine were found during a search of his home.

Callum Munday, prosecuting, said his mobile phone was found to contain messages indicating he was a drug dealer using the postcode delivery method.

He was also found in possession of £810 in cash, which he claimed was proceeds from the sale of a mobile phone.

Mr DeMille, 29, of no fixed address, admitted two offenses: possessing cocaine with intent to supply and possessing criminal property, namely £810 in cash.

The court heard that Demir, who had no previous convictions in the UK or Turkey, had become involved in drug dealing to pay off a £10,000 debt he had borrowed to set up a barbershop in Turkey and failed. .
