Visionary Entrepreneur and Community Leader:

A key figure in this effort is Lyon Winters, owner of Head Quarters Barber Salon & Suites. A visionary entrepreneur, fashion icon, influencer and father, Lyon has become a role model for the city's young black community. He accomplished this through both his dedication to excellent service to his customers and his commitment to giving back to young people, especially Black youth.

Winters first started cutting hair at the age of 13, apprenticed to his father, who was also a respected barber. Despite pursuing a promising career in Division 1 football, Lyon faced injuries and turned to full-time barbering after college.

My early experiences at G Class Cuts and later at Studio 96 Barber Lounge helped me hone my skills and build a loyal clientele. About six months ago, Ryone took a bold step and invested more than $100,000 to create Head Quarters Barber Salon & Suites.

His vision was to create a one-stop destination for both men and women, offering a wide range of services from barbers to stylists, braiders, cobblers, nail technicians, and eyelash technicians.

In just a few months, Head Quarters' popularity skyrocketed. This is largely thanks to its star-studded lineup of staff, including StylesByNyles, TeeKilla, Sira, and other hairstylists, barbers, and lawyers, all of whom have amassed impressive followings on social media. After less than five months in business, the shop has already been named a finalist for Best Barber Shop in Kansas City 2024.

Lyon's story is one of overcoming adversity, including battling depression after his career as a soccer player ended. Through his faith and determination, he has built a thriving business that not only provides first-class service, but also creates a supportive and uplifting environment for his customers.

Impact on celebrity customers and communities:

Lyon's expertise has attracted many high-profile clients, including Kansas City Chiefs players such as Donovan Smith, Matt Dickerson, Mike Danna, and Turk Wharton. On game day, many Chiefs players visit the headquarters to prepare for the game.
