A Birchington barber has reached the final of the British Hair and Beauty Awards.
King's Barber Shop on Station Road opened in May last year and has been well received by many customers.
The salon offers cuts, shaves, hot towels, massages, and even has a “yellow digger” chair for little ones.
It is owned by Enver Yeshilbulut and run by his business partner Cetin, known as Jimmy. Both are from Cyprus.
Ember, 39, also runs a barber shop in Deal and Aylsham, where she lives.
he said: “Jimmy has been working with me for five years now. He started out as a barber in Cyprus, but when he came to England I trained him to a very high standard and now he works at King's Barbers. My business partner in Birchington.
“The store has been open for almost a year now, and all the credit goes to him.”
Ember, who has been a barber for 19 years, has won the title of Best Barber three times and also won the title of Best Shaving. He has 18 barbers across his three stores.
Jimmy and Ember, both 26, will find out whether they have won the 2024 title at a ceremony in Birmingham this July.
The winner will be determined by five judges who will score each finalist independently. The person with the highest overall score will be named the winner.
