Police said the incident occurred between 10:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. at Best Trim Barbers on Belmont Road, where a 37-year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds to his arm.
The update comes after a barbershop near Asda was placed under lockdown and with a police presence today.
Police arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury with intent, and a 40-year-old man on suspicion of obstructing police work and assisting an offender.
The victim's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and are currently receiving treatment.
Detective Constable Philip Harvey, of Hereford Police, said: “We understand that incidents of this nature are worrying, but we would like to reassure the public that we believe this is an isolated incident. I want to,” he said.
“We would like to appeal to any witnesses who may have seen this incident who were near Best Trim in Hereford or near the entrance to the Asda supermarket in Belmont, Hereford during this time, or who can assist us with our investigation. We are calling on others to come forward.
